On Tuesday I learnt the hard way that I need to practise what I preach in terms of getting enough rest 😴
I was running myself into the ground with
Uni, work and training and was ignoring all the signs that my body was giving me..
❗️Aching and tight muscles
❗️Lack of motivation
❗️Extremely high stress levels
❗️and a general feeling of being unwell.
Finally my body said enough is enough and suddenly it felt like I was hit by a bus!! I had no choice but to spend the afternoon in bed resting and not training! 😮
I was trapped in the mind set that an extra rest day meant weakness and would affect my results... But I have been reminded that if you're body needs it, it's ok to have an extra day off 👌🏽
Now I am feeling physically and mentally stronger 💪🏽 and have definitely learnt my lesson 😁
