We often hear about how to “lose weight in 8 weeks”, “get the six pack of our dreams” or “sculpt that booty.” But what is really lacking in the health and fitness industry is the emphasis on the importance of training your mind!

After all, our mind is what determines all of the outcomes in our life.

Once you start seeing the world through different eyes and getting your mindset right, your body will naturally follow.

Here are my top 10 tips in order to train your mind, bec...

"Just have a bit, it won't hurt!"

We know it won't hurt. But it's the principle behind that. If we gave in to every temptation then we wouldn't be where we are today.

We love our family and friends but sometimes they don't understand out fitness journey... and that's ok.

Here are my top 5 tips on how to deal with family and friends who may not understand a healthy lifestyle change.

1. Remembering your why.

You chose to make this change to your lifestyle for a reason. Wheth...

If we accept the fact that we can't do something, or it's too hard, then we've set ourself a limit.
🔺
I never thought I'd be able to do a chin up and just accepted it. One day as a joke, I got my brother to boost me up and help me do one, but then realized I was actually pretty close to doing it by myself.
🔺
Since that moment I removed all doubt and realized I am capable to achieve more than the limits I place on myself.
🔺
Who actually says it's too hard? Or is it a thoug...

This is one of the most common phrases I hear when people are too reluctant to improve their health.

🔹
Gone are the days of restriction and cutting out food groups, so there's no reason why you can't be a healthy weight as well as enjoying the foods you love (within reason) 👌🏽

🔹
As soon as you become aware of your emotional connection to food, it is easier to remove.

🔹
Goal setting, giving yourself other forms of rewards and removing the "punishment" factor with eating...

Deadlifts!! 💕 (Sumo deadlifts in this case).

Such an amazing exercise and a must for your leg sessions. They are fantastic for strengthening your lower back, hamstrings, grip strength and glutes❗️🍑

Other benefits include:
👊🏽 Increased fat burning as it's such a big exercise.

👊🏽 Better posture. Most of our daily activities involve the front of our body (driving, sitting at a desk, scrolling on Instagram), so this balances out our posterior chain (muscles on the back of...

The beauty of flexible dieting means that technically you can eat whatever you want as long as it 'fits your macros'. 🍩

BUT if you want the best possible results, clean whole foods will keep you fuller for longer and fuel your cells

properly for your workouts/ recovery.

So instead of eating things like this doughnut, you'd be able to eat a much higher volume of clean food and you won't be starving by the end of the night 🥒🥕🥗🥙

Every once in a while is fine to treat yourself,...

If you want to be happy in life, you need to put yourself first. The world is full of people that society makes us feel like we have to impress in order to fit in.

From a young age we aren't taught how to be an individual and those who are different get picked on.

Growing up, most of us take the safe route, the 9-5 job, holding back our true thoughts, hanging around people that deep down we don't actually connect with...

We are unique, and should be able to live our life how...

Can't believe there's only a month left of 2016! And what a year it was.

This how my different lifestyles have changed my body. From left to right:
🔹December '15: Before ever prepping for a comp.
🔹May: Just after my second comp.
🔹August: After a holiday full of partying.
🔹December: Current. Not dieting to lose weight, but eating more of the right foods aiming to put on muscle.

My wardrobe can't keep up 😅 but I wouldn't have it any other way. Life is all about different ch...

We all have fears; of rejection, of humiliation, of isolation.. but most often than not we fear things will never even happen.

In order to live life to the fullest we must try to put these thoughts aside and take that leap of faith to try something new.

Face your fears head on and take those risks.

If you fail the first time, keep trying.. eventually you will succeed.

Or stay in your comfort zone.. but is that really living?

We see things as we are, not as they are
